Depth First
The course · In development

A course on using LLMs as an extension of cognition.

Two tracks. Same spine. The deeper, more spacious version of the work that runs through the workshops, designed to be done in your own time.

Two tracks

Same spine. Different depth in different places.

Track 01

For engineers

Goes deeper on agents, orchestration, the Anthropic API and equivalents, production patterns for AI in engineering work, and the shifting craft of engineering when most code is generated.

  • How LLMs actually work (the depth version)
  • The shift from writing to reading code
  • Prompt chains and agent architectures
  • Building with the API: caching, tools, streaming
  • Calibrated scepticism applied to your own work
  • Governance, security, and privacy for technical teams
Track 02

For everyone else

Goes deeper on case studies, governance, prompting craft, workflow design, and the metacognitive habits that keep judgment sharp. Agents and the technical landscape covered at the right level.

  • How LLMs actually work (without jargon)
  • Prompt craft and iteration as a discipline
  • Designing AI workflows for your real work
  • Failure modes and how to spot them in the wild
  • AI as mirror: metacognitive practice
  • Governance, privacy, and policy for non-technical leaders
How it’s designed

A few principles we’re building from.

01

Evergreen

Models will change. The principles don’t. We teach the underlying mechanics and the durable habits, not the week’s prompt-of-the-month.

02

Radically transparent

The materials are public. The goal is for people to actually learn this, not to gate-keep it. The course is what you pay for. The knowledge belongs to whoever wants it.

03

Practice, not theory

Every module ends with something you do, not something you’ve read. Real prompts, real workflows, real reflection. The point is to change how you work.

Waitlist

Be the first to know when it’s ready.

We’ll write when there’s something worth opening. Early material, the syllabus, the chance to shape what gets built.

No churn, no drip, no “just checking in”.

Common questions

Things people are already asking.

When does it launch?
When it’s ready. We’d rather ship something we’re proud of than hit a date.
How much will it cost?
Honest answer: we don’t know yet. Sized to be accessible to individuals and serious enough that you’ll do the work.
Self-paced or cohort?
Self-paced at the core, with optional live sessions and a community. The material is evergreen; the human element is when it’s on.
Can my organisation buy seats?
Team licences will be available when the course launches. For most organisations, the workshops are the better entry point. The course is designed for individual depth.
